Getting the treatment

Although it does not look like much of a treat right now, this space as shown by Assistant Manager Rachel shows where one of our four treatment rooms will be located - its current state is far, far away from the haven of calm that it will eventually become.

A vacuous cavern

As for the rest of the club, well it looks double the size of its previous incarnation! Here's a shot of one of the changing rooms - they have been totally gutted and now will await their much bigger and fresher design to be realised.

Absolute carnage!

Well you have to say, the team working on the rennovation have not wasted any time at all!, our Health Club Manager, Joanna, informs me that the 'take down' is the easiest part to do, but still the transformation is quite unbelievable - almost nothing of the original club is left, the photo here shows Joanna by the pool, all the tiles have been removed and some protective wooden bannisters added.

Pictures of the first step

Naturally the first step was to empty the pool... we were on hand to take a couple of snaps, as you can see it's actually rather deep.

It begins...

The beginning of December saw our beloved health club and spa begin it's 4 month journey to become better, brighter, more modern and just a lot more fabulous. The first step of course was to drain the pool - an odd sight, because over the time the pool has been here it's not often drained and it's only after seeing it that I realised quite how deep it was...
